Grey Glacier Navigation (transport + catamaran ticket)
Early in the morning, depending on the navigation time, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Puerto Natales to start the transfer to Grey Lake. After 2 hours, we will arrive at Hotel Lago Grey, the starting point for the navigation. We will take a brief walk on the beach and complete the check-in to board the ferry that will navigate the lake.
The trip will be on a comfortable and modern vessel, where you can enjoy spectacular views: icebergs of radiant blue floating in the grey water, and finally marvel at the majestic Grey Glacier, part of the Southern Ice Fields.
Not only will you enjoy the glacier view, but also the surrounding environment: the imposing Paine Massif, forests along the lake, stratified rock hills, and snow-capped peaks reaching the clouds. If you’re lucky, you might hear chunks of ice calving off the glacier and falling into the water. All this will be accompanied by a delicious pisco sour or calafate sour with ancient ice.
The navigation lasts a total of 3 hours. Once back at Hotel Lago Grey, we will board our vehicle to return to Puerto Natales.
Itinerary:
- 07:30 – 08:00 am: Pick-up from your accommodation in Puerto Natales. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed depending on your hotel location.
- 08:00 – 10:00 am: Drive towards the Grey Lake sector, located inside Torres del Paine National Park. During the journey, you will enjoy stunning Patagonian landscapes and panoramic views of the Paine Massif.
- 10:00 am: Arrival at Hotel Lago Grey for check-in for the navigation. Afterwards, we will take a short walk along Grey Lake beach to reach the boarding area.
- 11:00 am: Start of the Grey Glacier Navigation. During the excursion, you will sail among impressive floating icebergs while admiring the majestic Grey Glacier, the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, and the surrounding mountains. On board, you will enjoy a pisco sour or calafate sour served with ancient glacier ice.
- 01:45 pm: End of the navigation and return to Hotel Lago Grey.
- 02:00 – 04:00 pm: Transfer back to Puerto Natales.
- 04:00 pm approx.: Arrival in Puerto Natales and end of services.
