What to Expect from Grey Lake Kayaking

The excursion begins at Bigfoot Grey Base Camp, located in the Grey Refuge sector. Upon arrival, guides provide all technical equipment and conduct a land-based safety briefing, covering basic paddling techniques, kayak handling, route details, and lake conditions.

Once on the water, the group begins paddling across Grey Lake toward the eastern face of Grey Glacier, always maintaining a safe distance from the ice wall.

During the route, you will paddle among floating icebergs, whose presence and size depend on recent glacial calving. The itinerary also includes a visit to a meltwater waterfall fed by another glacier in the park and an iceberg bay, offering spectacular scenery and photo opportunities.
