Trekking Base Torres
Get ready to experience one of Patagonia’s most unforgettable journeys.
Between 6:00 and 6:30 AM, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation in Puerto Natales to begin an exciting 2-hour drive to the breathtaking Torres del Paine National Park.
We’ll enter the park through Laguna Amarga Gate, where we’ll stop briefly with your guide to check in using your QR entry ticket. From there, we’ll continue to the Welcome Center, the starting point of our unforgettable hike to the iconic Base Torres Viewpoint.
The 4-hour ascent will lead us through stunning landscapes:
- Trails winding through the Lenga forest,
- Crystal-clear rivers, hanging bridges, and cascading waterfalls,
- And the rich flora and birdlife of the Patagonian wilderness.
At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with one of the world’s most iconic views: the towers of Torres del Paine rising above a striking turquoise lagoon. Take your time to relax, snap incredible photos, and fully absorb the majesty of this natural wonder.
Depending on weather conditions and trail closure times, your guide will inform you when to begin the descent back to the Welcome Center, where our vehicle will be waiting to return to Puerto Natales.
Throughout the entire experience, you’ll be accompanied by a certified guide, ensuring a safe, informative, and unforgettable day.

Day by day itinerary
Day 1 — TREKKING BASE TORRES
06:00 – 06:30 AM | Pick-up from accommodation - Puerto Natales
- Our transfer will pick you up from your accommodation in Puerto Natales. We'll begin a 2-hour journey to Torres del Paine National Park.
08:30 AM | Arrival at Laguna Amarga Entrance Gate
- First stop: Laguna Amarga Gate. You'll need to show the QR code on your park entrance ticket.
09:00 AM | Welcome Center - Start of the hike
- From the Welcome Center, we begin our hike towards the Base Torres Viewpoint.
- Estimated ascent time: 4 hours
- Along the way:
- Short breaks for rest, hydration, and snacks.
- We’ll pass through the beautiful Lenga Forest.
- Expect to see rivers, bridges, waterfalls, diverse flora, and birdlife.
Around 01:00 PM | Arrival at Base Torres Viewpoint
- Free time to rest, enjoy the breathtaking view, and take photos of the iconic Torres del Paine and its turquoise lagoon.
02:00 – 02:30 PM (weather & conditions permitting) | Start of descent
- Your guide will inform you of the exact return time based on trail conditions and weather.
- Estimated descent time: 4 hours
06:00 – 06:30 PM | Return to Welcome Center
- Meet the transport for the ride back to Puerto Natales.
08:00 – 09:00 PM | Arrival in Puerto Natales
- End of the adventure. Drop-off at your accommodation.
